About Fighter Roster

Empowering the fighting game community with the ultimate roster creation tool.

Our Mission

Fighter Roster was born from a simple observation: the fighting game community needed better tools for organizing tournaments, creating content, and showcasing their favorite fighters.

We're passionate about bringing the same level of polish and attention to detail that fighting games themselves have to the tools that support the community around them.

What Fighter Roster is

Fighter Roster is a browser tool for building a custom fighting game roster and displaying it on a working character select screen. You add the fighters, each with a name, a class, three stats and your own artwork, and the site renders them on a screen you can click through as player one and player two.

Fighters are kept in a pack, and a pack can be shown through any theme. Two themes are free permanently: a customizable builder with its own layouts, backgrounds and card shapes, and one based on Naruto Storm 4. Four more recreate the select screens of Smash Bros. Ultimate, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Mortal Kombat 1 and Street Fighter 6. Those belong to the premium plan, and one of them is unlocked for everyone each month.

A finished roster is shared as a snapshot: a frozen, view-only copy with its own link that opens without an account. Snapshots can also be listed in the public marketplace, where other people browse and vote on them.

Who uses it

Most rosters here are arguments: the sequel line-up someone wanted, the crossover that never happened, a personal top twelve. Others are practical. Tournament organizers use the format to announce entrants, streamers build one to match their channel, and tabletop groups have turned it into a way to introduce a party.

If you are starting from nothing, the guides cover planning a cast, preparing art and choosing a select screen.

How it is funded

The free plan covers 12 fighters in one pack and two shared snapshots, with no time limit. An optional premium subscription raises those limits to 300 fighters across three packs and ten snapshots, and adds every theme and alternate costumes. The current prices are on the pricing page. Free accounts may also see advertising on some pages.

Fan project notice

Fighter Roster is an independent, fan-made tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any game publisher. Game titles and characters belong to their respective owners, and the fighters and artwork in each roster are supplied by the person who built it.
